Topics: Comparing the 1932 and 1992 versions of The Last of the Mohicans with each other and with the James Fenimore Cooper novel might yield interesting insights about Native American demands for rights and respect and white society's reaction to them. Similarly, a comparison of Canadian and U.S. films featuring Native American issues might allow analysis of similarities and differences between the two democracies and their treatment of native peoples.

Another interesting topic might be the comparison of images of the Native American warrior as avenger of wrongs in documentaries like Incident at Oglala and Warrior with traditional (or not so traditional) Hollywood films.
